adventuring.

Exactly a week ago from today my beautiful, wonderful, perfect MacBook decided that, instead of being a great companion, it was going to be deviant and beep at me whenever I turned it on. This was a major bummer because I use my computer for pretty much everything. However, my beautiful, wonderful, and perfect friend/housemate, Lindsay Knott, has let me kidnap her computer for the past week. Which leads me to this post... A few months ago Linds and I decided to go on a mini roadtrip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Mosca, CO. I found the pictures on her computer from our trip.

 Looking out towards the mountains
To give you a sense of how massive these dunes are the red circle shows a group of a people ahead of us.
After hiking to the top of the largest dune, 750ft, which is a whole lot harder than I would have thought (for every step you take you slide half a step back) we decided to drive to this hot spring at the foothills of the mountains nearby to soak our sore muscles. Now going into this whole thing we knew it was a nudie, clothes option place, but I didn't realize exactly HOW option clothes were. As we pulled into the small parking lot after about 7 miles on a dirt road an old, naked, Santa Clause looking man, walked right past our car and straight into the office in all his glory. Obviously, overcome with giggles we knew we made it to the right place. But regardless of the nudity, it was unbelievable; natural hot-springs all over. Since this is a very family-friendly blog, I'll only share a picture of the view we had from our own private soaking pool.
I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who's ready for a different type of adventure and wants a little sunshine on those pale butt cheeks :)  Check out their website if you're still curious...http://www.olt.org/visitor_info/pools&ponds.htm
